‎LibreOffice Vanilla is a powerful office productivity application consisting of Writer (word processing), Calc (spreadsheets), Impress (presentations), Draw (vector graphics and flowcharts), Base (databases), and Math (formula editing). It can also open and edit text documents, spreadsheets, presen.

First check the system requirements before installing LibreOffice on macOS.

I found that Writer is quite sufficient to use on my Mac. The nice thing about LibreOffice is that I can switch to Windows 10 Pro or elementary OS 5 (Linux) and use the same files to edit, etc. Sending TDF a donation soon, because I think it's worth it. I highly recommend LibreOffice if. Open the.DMG file by double-clicking on it. An installation window appears: drag and drop the LibreOffice icon onto the Applications icon in the same window. You may be required to enter your administrator password. The files are copied over and a progress bar shows when the installation is complete.

  • Download the .DMG file from the download page.
  • Open the .DMG file by double-clicking on it.
  • An installation window appears: drag and drop the LibreOffice icon onto the Applications icon in the same window. You may be required to enter your administrator password.
  • The files are copied over and a progress bar shows when the installation is complete.
  • If needed, you may now download and install the language pack(s) of your choice and built-in help by downloading the .DMG file of your choice. The installers for these are launched from inside their .DMG files.
Hi everyone,
Quite new to these forums (and LinuxMint), but I love the operating system. It is very nice and includes the functionality not included in Ubuntu.
However, I have one major issue with Linux Mint at the moment.
Very frequently, when I work on a LibreOffice Calc file, the systems stops responding and simply freezes. I cannot do anything, only move my cursor. I have to do a hard reset to get the system back. It happens about 90% of the time, after 5-10 minutes. What is worse, it has already corrupted several Calc files, rendering them beyond repair. This has costed me many hours, simply making the files again. And it is not limited to a specific action. It sometimes occurs when I copy/paste a cell, when I use my mousewheel o scroll up, when I add color to a column etc.

Libreoffice For Macbook Air

ProWorking on these files in Windows 7 (using same version of LibreOffice) does not crash the system. Only occurs in Linux Mint.
What I have tried already:
Disable and enable the AutoRestore Function in LibreOffice
Stopped using the external mouse
Converted files from ods to xls and vise versa
Enabled and disabled spinning down of hard disk in Power options
However, none of these solutions worked.
I am not sure which log file to include. If someone likes to see one of the log files, let me know. I will happily paste them here.

Libreoffice On Mac

I have included one of the files I am working on, and keeps freezing the system a lot.

I will check tomorrow if this issue occurs with all my Calc files (only tested a few now), but that does mean I am taking risks. Because the crashes/freezes can corrupt the file.
Hope that someone can help me or give me a few pointers! Thanks already!
(and yes, I did Google for a solution. But couldn't find any.)
